CBIDA is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of our grant program.  This is our fourth year in providing grants to islanders in their pursuit of improving their communities. Congratulations to our island neighbors!   These award winners will each make a short presentation of their projects at our Annual Meeting in September.

We look forward to continuing this worthwhile program in 2017.  We encourage our readers to join our membership which helps to fund this important work.

Fay Garman House will be using their grant award to add a flower garden.  This recipient is a senior housing complex with 11 units.

Friends of Brackett Cemetery has received a grant for purchasing a bench for this historic cemetery.

Peaks Environmental Action Team will be using their grant funds to produce Bayscaping signs that encourage residents to limit their use of toxins in caring for their lawns.

Long Island Civic Association  has been awarded a grant to help purchase a Cider Press.
